Sutherlin Veterinary Hospital was founded in 1981 by Dr. Stephen Herrera. The original location was near downtown Sutherlin; until 1983 when Dr. Steve purchased the current property and moved the practice to 702 W. Central Avenue. For the next 7 years Dr. Steve was a single practitioner with his wife Mary working as his technician, before she left to attend vet school. Mary graduated Magna Cum Laude from OSU in 1990 becoming the second Doctor Herrera. Steve & Mary practiced together for 15 years. During that time Steve worked tirelessly to expand and develop the hospital and facilities. Dr. Mary has carried on the long history of care at Sutherlin Veterinary Hospital and ushered in a new generation of patient care and treatment options!

A staff employee will provide the owner with a printed treatment plan before any treatment is done if requested by the owner. A 50% deposit is required prior to treatment when your animal is a drop off appointment OR hospitalized. New Clients:We are currently accepting new clients with a wait time of approximately 8-10 weeks for routine care. If you are a new client that would like to establish but have an emergency, please call one of the emergency clinics listed. If you would like to establish care for your pet at our facility, please download the client form in the client information tab above or stop by the clinic to pick one up. We require a non- refundable $60 deposit to book all new client appointments at the time of booking. If you do not show for your appointment, your deposit will be void. After one now show, we will not be able to schedule any future appointments for your pets.
Things To Know:We require all appointments to be confirmed. We will call, text, and email 2 days in advance. If we do not reach you, please call us back to confirm. If appointments are not confirmed within 24hrs of appointment time, we will automatically reschedule to our next opening (2-4 weeks out).
A 24hr notice is required to cancel appointments. If there is less then 24hrs before scheduled appointment time, there will be a $25 short cancellation fee. We also charge a $25 fee for a "No Show" for appointments. Please let us know in advance if something comes up and you need to reschedule! |
